Sometimes, when accessing journals and e-books online you might get an error message like this:

You can usually resolve this problem clearing cache and cookies in your browser. Click here to find out how.

If that doesn't work try the following, in turn:

1. Use a recommended browser (Chrome or Firefox. Not Safari)

2. Ensure that your browser is up to date:

  • Go to settings, find the "About Chrome" link on the left of the page, and click on it. This will open up another window and will automatically check for updates and update Chrome if it is out of date. (Other browsers can be updated similarly)

2. Access the site with an incognito or in-private browser window

  • Access an incognito or in-private browsing window by clicking on the three dots or horizontal bars the X that you would use to close the browser window. The option to open a new incognito window then appears in the drop down menu.

3. Access the site with a different browser (one that you don't normally use)
